Happy Monday! 📰 today, on business casual outfits (haha maybe not...but the style reference - you get it). This was an oversized blazer but it now is a 2PC set, cropped blazer jacket & mid-waist mini skirt! I’m actually not a huge mini skirt fan, I prefer maxi but I love the way this fits and it was a pretty easy #upcycling project overall! If you’d like to create your own: • Find an oversized blazer. Make sure it’s long enough to cover your bum. I prefer the men’s section for oversized blazers personally. Take the jacket and pull it over your 🍑 just to make sure! • Decide where you want to crop the jacket at, it can be a situation where you want to leave a button so you can button it up top but in this case my jacket was too short so I had to sacrifice the button and sew a clip on the inside instead. • The skirt - you’ll have to take it in and form it to fit your body first. You are tailoring it down from a straight blazer fit to be more rounded for your curves. Make sure to leave a button as that will be used as your final button up, you may need to resew it depending on your measurements. I also installed a clip on the inside to make sure it sits on my hips.
