***Question of the Day*** I used to have a PhD in “performative love.” You know— “if I do this, then then I’ll EARN their attention, affection, friendship, _______ (fill in the blank).” Well, bless God, those days are over. But it took a while to believe my enough was actually enough, and that only happened when I realized that for some people, it WON’T be. But that didn’t mean I had to try HARDER to make it so. It meant that I had to find NEW people that celebrated the me that I already was and gave me grace to grow, like I did. And lemme tell you... nothing tastes better than freedom!
