The Jambu Fruit Dove (Ptilinopus jambu) sure has–as its common name suggests, it favors fruits for its meals!🍒🫐🍓 It lives in parts of Southeast Asia including Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, where it inhabits rainforests and mangroves. This shy bird spends much of its time roosting in the treetops—it benefits from the camouflage its green plumage provides. Both males and females have hues of green, but only males have a bright pink patch on the head.
