As a second-published piece, this one proved challenging in a number of ways. Beginning with the fact that a majority of the interviews were conducted online, either through a phone call or email correspondence (due to availability issues), the overall biggest concern of the piece was its overall vagueness. What I failed to really accomplish here was to divulge as much information from the opportunities that such a program offered. At face value, there isn’t much of a story talking about a university program. However, the real meat is not the program but the people that work within it. Student testimony, administrative experience, and overall statements on the foundations and future of the program would offer a lot more insight and interest into this specific piece. Though I struggled to bring that angle into light, this piece at least served to set foundational skills that I would learn from in my future career.
