Ep. 2 “The Secret Behind the Hot Sauce: The TRUFF Story” “TRUFF Talk” is back 🎬🎬🎬 In this episode, our Co-Founders and Co-CEOs, @nickajluni and @redsauce, talk through TRUFF’s come up as the most followed hot sauce on Instagram. Inspired by the streetwear mentality of high-low fashion, the Nicks focused on creating content with the same approach: taking their hot sauce to both high end restaurants and fast food joints to shave real truffles on their menu items, followed by a drizzle of TRUFF. This also helped tell the story that TRUFF used real black truffles in all of its products. In response, the Internet went wild: some viewers even asking “WTF😱?!” while others expressed their love for the fresh take on content. This off-the-wall strategy got people talking. Building real relationships with creators who genuinely loved the product was key to TRUFF’s success. The Nicks focused on authenticity and creating real relationships with influencers they admired. They did not ask for trade offs to post the product, but simply hoped they would enjoy TRUFF and give their feedback. With support from the likes of design mogul @jonbuscemi and the founder of ComplexCon @aaronlevant, and the executive creative director at Station Casinos @tallywood, TRUFF started getting real, organic shoutouts from streetwear icons, celebrities and respected chefs who all admired the hot sauce’s unique flavor and design. It wasn’t long until the brand reached a major tipping point by landing on Oprah’s famed “Favorite Things'' list.
