📺When I was still living in New York, one of the very first animated characters I did was a giant cockroach by the name of Bushwick/Shwick on Courage The Cowardly Dog. I was not familiar with the show at the time, but in hindsight it is fitting that the session was in a small booth in a rather dingy unimpressive office space just off Times Square. I remember the grumpy New York gentleman directing me clearly wished he was reading my part and kept giving me line readings. He heard it one way and I heard it slightly different. Between the two of us the climate in the room created a rather hostile and disturbing homage to Ratso Rizzo. When all was said and done our twisted borough tug of war created what is now considered a cult classic by animation fans.
