1 year engaged today. 🤍 we intentionally took a lot of time to reflect seriously on what marriage means for our relationship, and enjoyed sharing the news personally with loved ones as we saw them, rather than blasting it on the internet. as someone who works on the internet and is admittedly a bit of an over-sharer, one of the things i love about @rgriesinger is he always asks ‘why’ instead of blindly following societal norms, and challenged me to think deeply about my motivation for posting our engagement photos on social media. I wanted to post these photographs because they beautifully capture our personalities, our love, and a sense of place in one of our favorite places in the world that we’re so excited to share with our friends and family on our wedding day. Comparison is the thief of joy; there have been hard days and hard conversations not reflected in this highlight reel, but I’m proud of how we’ve grown as a couple over the past 6.5 years.
