Yesterday I went to take some pictures of The Queen’s funeral. It was hectic. Maybe 10-20% of it’s attendees were tourists, another 30% were royalists, and the rest was made up of the general public absolutely losing their minds. I witnessed so many volatile arguments - mostly about having their view blocked despite camping out overnight. This didn’t stop anyone from then trusting their arm in the air, their phone aloft; blocking the next person’s sightline. The procession itself was objectively quite impressive due to the sheer precision of it all, and I’ll honestly say that the two minutes silence was moving. Albeit mostly because I closed my eyes throughout it all. It’s enjoyably disorientating to be in the midst of thousands of people in a historic moment and feel like I could be anywhere else.
