Back for another round of #soundtrackmyfriend’s drink! I was assigned “Heartless” by Kanye West, submitted by @sundaycocktailclub. It’s a bitter reflection on struggling through a toxic relationship that’s hard to get out of. “The coldest story ever told”... “How could you be so cold as the winter wind when it breeze” Seemed like a good opportunity for something with ice wine! It can be hard to find, so Sauternes is a good alternative, or really any sweet wine. I also threw in some blue dye for those icy cold vibes, as well as ginger syrup and tonic bitters for some bite! HE LOST HIS SOUL ▫️2 oz gin (@ewingyoungdistillery) ▫️1⁄2 oz lemon juice ▫️1⁄2 oz lime juice ▫️1 oz ice wine (or Sauternes or other sweet wine) ▫️3⁄4 oz vanilla-ginger syrup (@root23simplesyrups) ▫️3 dashes of tonic bitters (@thebittertruthcompany) ▫️Blue food dye (@natures_flavors) Shake and strain! Garnish with ginger.
