Meet @anita_margaritaz, Head of Community at Unbound “My goal for my first marathon wasn’t a time - it was to finish with my love for running intact.
No injuries. No burnout. No “never again.”
So I trained differently. I stayed disciplined, but I also stayed human. I travelled. I drank wine. I conquered Ibiza. I adjusted when life asked. I gave my body softness instead of pressure.
Race day still had its moments, kilometers 18 - 31 were DARK. But I finished strong and smiling, and that was the win!
Then, a week later, I did my Unbound Health Assessment.
My VO₂ max came back high - which obviously, I just ran a damn marathon! I can’t deny I feel proud (and a bit smug) by the number. The cherry on top of my first marathon experience.
Now, I admit, I am quietly competing with myself. How will I beat that number when I retest in six months? Can I keep my fitness this high without a race looming?(Or do I just need to enter another?)”
Stay tuned to find out!
