World Ranger Day today comes with a tragically stark reminder of the deadly risk Field Rangers face, not only out on the front line, but in their homes. Just days ago, the world lost a committed and passionate leader in wildlife conservation - Anton Mzimba - Head Ranger of one of our neighbouring reserves. Anton had 25 years of commendable service under his belt. Today we give thanks to all Field Rangers, our heroes and warriors for wildlife, who put their lives on the line to keep safe our shared natural heritage. They deserve our admiration, but more importantly, they deserve our continued support. We share the weight of this significant loss with our immediate community and with the conservation world at large. Our hearts are with Anton's family, his colleagues, and his friends.
