Brown butter caramel pecan blondies! Insanely fudgy and packed with all the good stuff!👇 * 155 grams unsalted butter melted, browned, and cooled down * 143 grams dark brown sugar * 90 grams granulated sugar * 1 egg * 1 egg yolk * 2 tsp vanilla extract * 240 grams all purpose flour * Heaping 1/2 tsp salt * 130 grams toasted pecans, roughly chopped * 130 grams dark chocolate chips * 230 grams chewy caramels, chopped 1/2 inch dice 1. Line an 8X8 pan with parchment paper, preheat oven to 350F. 2. Melt and brown the butter, set aside to cool. Slice the caramels 1/2 inch dice and roughly chop the pecans 3. Using a whisk, beaters, or the whisk attachment, beat the melted butter, sugars, egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until combined, about 30 seconds 4. Whisk together the flour and salt. 5. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet, add the caramels, pecans, and chocolate chips until a dough forms and it's completely combined. 6. Push the dough into the pan, evening it out with a spatula. Sprinkle with sea salt 7. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the top looks set. If your oven runs hot, check around 22 minutes.
