#DOCU 🇨🇵 Originaire de l'ancienne cité romaine, @giacomo_italiano_photography part de sa ville natale en train, destination : l'Iran, ou plutôt la République islamique d'Iran et tout ce que ce pays induit de contradictions. Fort de ses traditions persiques et musulmanes, l'Iran aspire à devenir un acteur géopolitique incontournable au Moyen Orient, et ce malgré le récent retour des sanctions américaines, en Mai 2018, suite au retrait des États-Unis de l'accord sur son programme nucléaire. La population en subit aussitôt les conséquences, dont une inflation galopante faisant passer nombre d'Iraniens sous le seuil de pauvreté. C'est dans un contexte économique et social difficile que Giacomo parcourt ce vaste pays aux nombreux visages, toujours en train, en passant par des villes telles que Tabriz, Ardabil, Téhéran, Yazd ou encore Kerman. Au bout du compte une interrogation émerge : qui sont ces Iraniens du XXIème siècle ? // 🇬🇧 Originally from the ancient Roman city, @giacomo_italiano_photography leaves his hometown by train, destination : Iran, or rather the Islamic Republic of Iran and all that this country leads to contradictions. With its Persian and Muslim traditions, Iran aspires to become a key geopolitical player in the Middle East, despite the recent return of American sanctions in May 2018, following the withdrawal of the United States from the agreement on its nuclear program. The population suffers immediately as a result, including rampant inflation that puts many Iranians below the poverty threshold. It is in a difficult economic and social context that Giacomo travels across this vast country with many faces, always by train, passing through cities such as Tabriz, Ardabil, Tehran, Yazd or Kerman.
