#PhotoDump Let’s talk about yesterday... Yesterday I had the distinct pleasure of honoring the greats. First was the @blackwomenonbroadway Awards Celebration hosted and created by by @amberiman_ @daniebb3 @jjbioh . The event honored the amazing @qween_jean @karaakter and @lynnnottage . This industry is incredibly demoralizing and it is very easy to fall into the trap of feeling like you don’t have enough credits to “sit at the cool table”. Yesterday was a truly gorgeous and ON TIME reminder that I am part of a stunning community of Black women artists. I cannot express how grateful I was to be in that room. THEN my girl @missdemivee came THROUGH at the last minute and slayed my face in preparation for @thenewgroupnyc Celebration honoring my sweet friend, Donja R Love! There was something magical in the air at that event. Maybe it was the legendary @lilliaswhiteofficial doin that GOOD singin! Maybe it was the Black joy and carryin on between myself and @tommytoocool @darbzvibin @lovelolaknits @brand0nnick @qween_jean and so many more beautiful people! Maybe it was all of it! Whatever it was, it was a truly beautiful evening. It’s days like yesterday that help to refresh you, keep you grateful, and lift you up in readiness of the joy and abundance you are on the way to. Keep going y’all! It’s worth it.
