LOUISIANA UPDATE: We’re carrying on our long-term relief after 2021 Hurricane Ida, mucking and gutting homes and doing interior rebuilds, such as painting, installing drywall, and trimming. Volunteers have been passing out food to the community of Laplace, Louisiana. Additionally, we’ve added bi-weekly peer support groups for staff and a “zen room” for relaxation purposes ⛱️ A homeowner and veteran whose home repairs we helped fund after Hurricane Ida commented: "Oh Lord, I'm really happy. It's a big difference and I really appreciate it. Ya'll changed my life. It's been a long time and we didn't know if we would get help, but thank the Lord."
