Happy heavenly birthday to my sister, Leah. Oh boy, now SHE was a true Leo. Lit from within. Her BIG stories and the energy and love behind her laughter were equal parts contagious and warm. You actually could-not look away when she was talking to you... She captured hearts everywhere, especially mine (as you can see) in the short time we had together. She left this place when she was 24 years old, I was 12 but I swear I remember every minute she shared we me from diapers to LA Gears and I know this is the case for anyone who knew her. Leah was smart, hilarious, glamorous and kind and so much more. The impact she had on me continues to play out in my life. What we had was pure, sweet and vast. As I get older I still connect the dots and dang it if I don’t always find her at the beginning and end of any good thing I have. I promised her I’d never forget her when I finally realized she wouldn’t be coming back. To make sure and ever since then I’ve prayed to Leah. At 12 years old I didn’t understand the concept of God and frankly, I didn’t think he could ever understand me as well as she could - and so not a day goes by... She is alive and well in my heart, It sounds crazy I know but rest assure if you’ve ever wondered or have lost a loved one it is possible to feel this peaceful and grateful for something you don’t fully understand- their absence. (Just keep talking to them) Cheers to Angels and the light they continue to shine. And Happy Birthday to the Greatest Big Sister their ever was! 💞
