This char siu croissant really encapsulates the fusion of cultures in SF and you can find them @neighborbakehouse I just found another place for the best croissants / pastries in the Bay Area! They serve the most buttery pastries with really unique flavor combinations like passion fruit, everything bagel seasoning, and char siu. I ordered an assortment for a colleague’s birthday and I loved everything that I tried - with special attention to this one. The pastry was amazingly crisp, chewy, and buttery while the filling itself was super spot on. Go early for the widest selection!
