Pie season is upon us! Try this healthier swap for an apple crisp! Here’s what you’ll need.
6 apples
1 tbsp maple syrup
2 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp cinnamon
3⁄4 cup oats
3⁄4 cup almond flour
1⁄2 cup ghee
pinch of salt
1 cup coconut sugar
8x8 baking tray
1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Grease an 8x8 baking tray and set aside
3. Peel and slice apples and add to a small bowl. Add in maple syrup, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
4. In another bowl, combine oats, almond flour, coconut sugar, salt, and ghee.
5. Add apples to greased baking tray and top with the crumble mixture.
6. Place in the oven for 40-50 mins. A helpful tip to prevent the topping from burning, cover it with foil for the first 30 mins.
7. Let cool for 10 min before serving. ENJOY!
