Beautiful night celebrating @farmworkerjustice and honoring farm workers with the @withloveonprime family. @reneevictoractor gave a wonderful speech as she presented an award, and @pepefied11 delivered us a stunning poem. ......................................... Every one of us relies on those who labor in the fields to bring food to our tables. But they are the most under appreciated and exploited workers in this country. They do back-breaking work in 100+ heat often without shade, water or breaks. They are exposed to toxic pesticides without safety measures. Many are undocumented and paid so little that they live below the poverty line without any support from our government. They have endured abuse, racism and discrimination for too long. We need to do better. Much better. Support @farmworkerjustice and let’s take care of the people who suffer so much to literally feed this nation.
