This #PurpleTuesday we’re celebrating the partnership between regional leisure and retail destination Princesshay in Exeter and local charity Community Equality Disability Action (CEDA) who provide learning and social opportunities to disabled adults. As Princesshay’s charity of the year, CEDA is working with shops in #Exeter city centre to provide information on how they can improve physical access, and remove barriers for people with #accessibility needs. CEDA members have been recording a series of #Vlogs to share their #LivedExperience to help staff to improve their understanding of the barriers they sometimes face. Improvements will be shared with the stores and restaurants. “By working with city centre businesses to improve access and attitudes, we’re hoping to make Exeter more welcoming for disabled people,” said Craig Bowden, CEDA. Over the last week - across #HalfTerm and #PurpleTuesday - community radio station, Access All Aerials – part of CEDA, have been broadcasting shows from the destination. Visit our #LinkInBio to listen to their broadcasts and follow @cedaonline and @princesshayexeter for updates. #DisabilityInclusion #Inclusion #Diversity #LivedExperince
