For a simple BBQ sauce (that we recommend slathering over chicken before hitting the grill) heat 2 TB oil over medium heat. Sauté alliums (like scallions) with dried currants, cayenne & onion powder until deep brown in color, 3-4 mins. Add apple cider vinegar & 1⁄4 cup water; reduce slightly, 1-2 mins. In a high speed blender, blend the mixture until smooth. Season with salt & pepper.
