The airport of Mykonos, beyond an infrastructure building, is a gate and a podium that promotes the place of arrival and deeply connects to the travel destination and the notions of place. The inevitable cycladic light that washes with brilliance and warmth all that stands beneath the sun, the invigorating wind that activates and gives full shape to everything in a frivolous choreography, and the clear blue sky, an unmistakable background to the island’s life and activity blend with the architectural heritage and the contemporary culture of naked beauty in the liberated human bodies that let loose and express themselves in almost theatrical scenes.
