Read more 👇 ✅ SMPD increased the number of sworn and professional staff in the Downtown area, with a focus on the Third Street Promenade. ✅ SMPD has responded to 67,000 calls for service as of last month, Officers are more visible, and we’re continuing to monitor crime trends in real-time. ✅ SMPD has also made progress in recruiting new officers, including 18 new hires from January 2022 to last month.
