We wanted to visit Central Australia for a very long time but our flights were cancelled several times in the last three years due to the pandemic. When finally we were able to rebook our flights we realised that Nastia was going to be about 36 weeks pregnant and had doubts about travelling in a camper van and hiking so close to the due date. In retrospect this was probably one of the best decisions we made and the beautiful meaning of this trip hit me while hiking the Valley of the Winds in Kata Tjuta. It was both a beautiful hommage to 14 years of adventuring around the globe together and a celebration for the upcoming arrival of our little Mia into the world.
