just a few weeks away from his 16th birthday, my littlest best friend left the planet peacefully in my arms on Saturday morning. Frank, Franklin, Frankie, Franklin Doggono Roosevelt, Shranky, Stanky, Monkey, Little Dog On A Log - he went by many names and was loved by everyone who knew him ❤️ this little guy has been family for nearly half of my life, so the absence of his tip-tapping paws and soft snores has thrown everything out of balance. I’ll miss his smiles (dogs can smile!), his oversized velveteen ears twitching and tuning like satellites, the focus with which he would watch TV, the way he looked like a croissant when he slept, his eager little face whenever anyone was in possession of peanut butter or cheese, and the endless ways he made me laugh - he was a comedian through and through. I know everyone says their dog is the best dog in the world, but mine really was.
