For the 7th year, I have been on a mission to support Ukrainian women in tech as an ambassador of the Wtech Community @wtech.club. For the past three years, I have also been a partner of #Wtech in the UK. ⠀ Wtech is the largest non-profit international community of Ukrainian women in tech and online business. With over 10,000 members spanning 46 chapters worldwide, including more than 400 members in London chapter, one of our core missions in London community is to support a swift adaptation to the UK tech and business ecosystem, foster new connections, provide free access to networking events, offer job opportunities, create opportunities to raise funding, and provide inspiration, motivation, and mental support for professional growth despite the challenges of post-war stress. ⠀ In June 2022, we hosted our first meetup with around 30 participants. Today, our community in London has grown to over 500 members. ⠀ During this time, I have organised over 50 meetups and events, including collaborations with EQL: HER, London Tech Week, and partnerships with CogX Festival, Sifted Summit, Zebu Live, and others. We’ve also arranged company visits to Google and the unicorn company Flo Health. Our speakers have included: ⠀ • Dmitry Gurski, Co-founder and CEO of #Flo Health (unicorn company valued at $1B) • Victoria Repa, Founder and CEO of #BetterMe (150M downloads worldwide) • Viktoriya Tigipko, Founding and Managing Partner at TA Ventures • Ann Cairns, Executive Vice Chair at #Mastercard UK • Wincie Wong, Head of Services Workforce Technical Capability, NatWest • Igor Zhadanov, Founder and CEO of #Readdle (180M downloads worldwide) and many others. ⠀ We also organised two charity runs to raise funds for uniforms for women in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. ⠀ I deeply believe in the power of community. Many of us had to start our lives from scratch, and initially, the only support we could rely on was our own people. ⠀ I am endlessly grateful for every member I’ve met.
