But I’ve always had puffy under eye bags and as I get older they seem to be getting puffier and puffier. Caffeine is the number one ingredient I look for in an eye cream because it’s proven to help depuff the under eye area, along with brightening dark circles. The way caffeine works is that it is a vasoconstrictor, which means that it constricts blood vessels. Applying a vasoconstrictor like caffeine on red, puffy, or otherwise slightly inflamed skin reduces blood flow to the area, reducing the appearance of inflammation. Science!!
