"STORYTIME: our oldest used to be terrible about taking medicine... to the point where he had to be physically restrained by doctors. It was awful. Eventually, we came up with this positive association trick and it worked like a CHARM! By introducing him to apple juice through a medicine syringe, a positive connection between the taste of apple juice and the act of swallowing something from a syringe was established. And using it to squirt water during bath time gave him control over the very object he used to hate. Turning it into an object of fun / play 💦 This created neural pathways that told his brain “syringe = good things” and this simple trick made a HUGE difference." - @wholeparent #BankonCBR
