Last night, I saw my face on film at the Tribeca Films X @New York Road Runners Final Finishers! 🥹🥳 A few months ago, I told Martinus that I needed a run free vacation, and I wanted to see my little nephew. Two weeks prior to leaving, he's like, "You wanna be in a film with me talking about the back of the pack?" 😅 And that's how my run free vacation turned into another run vacation for an incredible cause. I cried from start to finish, listening to Janelle share the heart, grit, and determination that we all put on the pavement. I definitely laughed that my conversation with @Martinus Evans and Bethany about the infamous chicken sandwich with extra pickles as fuel at mile 22.5 made it into the cut. It was beautiful watching this unfold after years of advocating for slower paced runners. We're not a community pandering for pity. We're athletes fighting to push forward and deserving of equal celebration. Thank you to the East 89th Street Productions crew, NYRR, NYC Marathon, New Balance, and every person who made this happen. Thank you to my loving husband, Eric, for always being here by my side. I can't wait for everyone to see this film.
