Spice up your holiday menu with @milkofthykindness' Pineapple Orange Punch! 🍊✨ Combining traditional winter flavours like cranberry and clove, with tropical notes of fruit like pineapple and ginger, this batched beauty will be winning hearts all season long!
PINEAPPLE ORANGE PUNCH 🥂
Serves 6-8
â—¦6-8 oz Empress 1908 Gin
â—¦750 ml Pineapple Juice
â—¦250 ml Orange Juice
â—¦2 Tbsp Orange Zest
â—¦5-6 Whole Cloves
â—¦2-3 Tbsp Grated Ginger
â—¦1 cup Fresh Cranberries
â—¦1 Whole Orange, cut into thin slices
â—¦1 cup of Pineapple Slices
â—¦Pineapple Flowers, to garnish* (See below!)
METHOD: Combine the pineapple, orange juice and fruits in a pitcher with ginger, orange zest and cloves. Chill up to a day in advance to let the flavour marinate. Add Empress 1908 Gin and ice (directly to the pitcher or portion to individual glasses for preference.) Stir, and top it off with soda water if you like, in individual glasses. Garnish with a pineapple flower.
GARNISH: Preheat your oven to 200F. Peel the pineapples and slice the fruit into thin wheels (leaving the core in). Make 5, 1/2 inch cuts around the edge of the wheels to mimic petals. Place the sliced pineapples on a cooling rack on top of a baking tray, and bake for 2 hours. Remove from the oven and mold the pineapples by placing them gently inside a muffin tin. Bake again until the flowers are golden and dry. Store in an airtight container.
