Paper backing is lining the back of fabric with a commercial grade paper that turns almost any fabric into a luxurious custom wallcovering. From a technical perspective, paper backing adds substance and body to the fabric while also creating a protective moisture barrier between the fabric and the wall. Designwise, incorporating a textile onto the wall adds the most incredible texture and depth to the space. The added bonus (in this case) is the price point! This ticking is at a great price point and was inexpensive to have paper backed. It is a fail-safe method of elevating a smallish space into a luxurious room with a feeling of opulence and comfort.
