If this was about life, they would care that I’m 3x more likely to die in childbirth than a white woman, the proven cause of which is medical racism. They would care about the poverty rate. They would care about the shortage of safe homes for children in foster care. They would fight for a universal living wage, and free college. They would make paid maternal and paternal leave a federal mandate. We would have universal health care. And most of all, they wouldn’t pass rulings giving *more* rights to gun owners. We do not live in a society that supports, sustains, or cherishes life. We live in a society that now forces births. The fact is, we are here bc of 40 years of focused manipulation of an extreme religious minority to vote. And vote they did. We are also here because one President in one term was able to put three Justices on the Supreme Court. For the entirety of their lifetimes. This is tyranny. I know my thread isn’t perfect.
