I was 21 weeks pregnant with our third baby when our 3 year old son was ran over. We didn’t know if he was going to live. The week of him being in the ICU trauma unit we met with several doctors who couldn’t explain how he was alive but also uncertain if he would be able to walk. The waiting was so hard 😭that week felt like years! But towards the end of his stay they determined he would be fine with just a halo on his little 30 lb body. I’ll never forget the doctor telling us: “because of God & the prayers your son will be able to play sports one day.” In that moment I didn’t care about sports I was just thankful to God and these amazing doctors who saved his life! But now that we are watching him play flag football I can’t help but think of this 😭.
