1/9. In my spare time I've started visual journaling. What this means is that I pick a theme and collect photos and visuals around it. My end goal is to reflect on that theme in gratitude to continue to improve how I interact with people, spaces and nature. The first theme I chose was summer 2021. Intentionally timed alongside the start of summer 2022, it has given me ample time over the past couple of weeks to reflect on this season and how I'm continuing to grow, evolve and elevate myself season after season, year after year. The colour swatch that I picked to base my imagery around was Pantone 14-1127, Desert Mist. Summer 2021 was a season of much drought in both the natural landscape displayed through fires and throughout the community and beyond with the pandemic and lack of events and social interaction. While this was a tough season for many including myself, I chose to focus my collage on all of the bright moments of hope, opportunity and beauty that shined through and quenched my thirst for time with friends, nature and new experiences in various different spaces.
