Part 1. I’d like to take a moment to congratulate my friend, business partner and mother Matthew Harvat for being part of Chicago LGBT Hall of Fame 2022 Inductees The Chicago LGBT Hall of Fame, the only city-sanctioned LGBT Hall of Fame in the world, was founded in 1991 to honor Chicago’s people and entities, nominated by the community, who have made significant contributions to the quality of life or well-being of the LGBT community and the city of Chicago. The Chicago LGBT Hall of Fame inductees for 2022 were selected from a slate of candidates submitted by Chicago’s LGBT community. This year’s eight individuals, three organizations, and three “Friend of the Community” (ally) inductees are as follows: Matthew Harvat, DJ., producer, and performance artist, known professionally as CircuitMOM, for 30+ years for bringing Broadway-style production numbers, DJ sets, and event decorations to charity and fundraising work. This year’s Chicago LGBT Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held on Oct. 11 at The Chicago History Museum, 1601 N Clark St. at 6p.m., It is open to the public. Part 2. I don’t think people realize that the circuit scene in Chicago wouldn’t be what it is if it wasn’t for Circuit MOM Productions AKA Matthew Harvat Matthew is one of the main reasons you all get to experience this kind of scene in Chicago. This scene didn’t just happen. It has been years of dedication, sweat, tears, and hard work. Qualities not everyone has. Just like laptop DJs some of you think you can throw a party and now call yourself a “producer”. I mean history should speak for itself. She’s still here standing with a successful company.
