Artists used to stay at Villa Solbacka and the traces are found in all kinds of places. This mural is inspired by the great Filip Månsson, a national romantic painter from the time Villa Solbacka was built. We had an artist of ourselves staying here, the great Urban Ullenius, PhD - a world class art conservator. (And our dear uncle). The brief was simple yet open - “imagine Filip Månsson on vacation here, a brush in one hand and a glas of wine in the other”. Many weeks of “vacation” later, this piece of art was unveiled.
