All of us are judging. Always judging. Always making assumptions about something. We are meaning making machines. I’m including myself in this. We are all somewhat wildly obsessed with the narrative that allows us to channel energy through it. So often we are making a judgement based on what we’ve seen before. We love to put the puzzle pieces together. Living in the past, or simply recreating the past, Because a part of us really likes it. The fix, the hit, the adrenaline... of our story. Because identifying with things makes a part of us feel safe. When we put things into boxes that replicate the past we know how to act to protect ourselves. Automation. Because pure chaos scares us so much that we need, we must... create structure. And too often this structure is just too small to fit in. The thing we are most afraid of is the black abyss that is the void. Afraid we will get lost in it. It will engulf us, take over. What if we could surrender into that state? Move from scarcity to creation to creation creating creation. Creating from the space of nothingness, the free fall. It’s still the same thrill, except enhanced, because there isn’t a barrier keeping us “safe '.” Instead a free fall into freedom. The tension, the build up, the wave, the climax. The space between drama and resolution, drama and resolution. And that state of total surrender through whatever is here now, is pleasure. The pleasure of existing. Of experiencing, of feeling the fullness without needing it to stop to make us feel safe. To replace our thought that the void is scary with the void is infinite creative potential and possibilities. Then we create our own freedom.
