Chicago! I love my hometown. I always say, “Chicago’s very own,” which if you’re from Chicago, you grew up hearing. 🤣 Friday’s Supreme Models screening & reception for @chicagomuseum’s @chicagocostumecouncil was a glamorous, glorious, heartwarming celebration of my work, fashion, Black models, and ultimately the people who came to support the museum. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets for this very important fundraiser. It was your party as much as mine or the museum’s! There was so much love in the building that night! From the response to the documentary and the panel with my friends @legacybros, @iamthatdesiree, @ikramgoldman, and my ride or die, @veronicawebb, to those who viewed the Treasured Ten exhibition, and from my dear friend Dawn of @via.venezia.textiles, who led the audience in a beautiful happy birthday serenade to me.
