Since you’ve asked, yeh I got to work with the other actors in #Elvis too! The incredible @altonmason came to shake his multi-talented tail feather as Little Richard, @iamyolaofficial came to shred and transform into Sister Rosetta Tharpe and whilst I couldn’t help at all with her mad voice, @iamshonkadukureh and I developed her character as Big Mama Thornton. Movement is always much more than you think and after working with pure actors for a while, it was incredible to work with this team who brought their expertise and were up for merging with mine. We moulded a physical language fit for them all and, along with the amazing Music Dept, created characters ready for set. I loved it, the process and them. And of course special love goes out to the gorgeous Club Handy supporting artists too who sweated and danced to keep us all going.
