Shepard Menken One guest star who made multiple guest appearances is Menken, always playing a different role. He made his first of four appearances on The Adagio in season 1, playing the romantic Frenchman who falls in love with Lucy and wants to elope with her. The following year, he reappeared as William Abbot, the owner of the art store Lucy is shopping at in season 2 - Lucy Becomes a Sculptress. He and another worker not only convince Lucy she is an amazing sculptress but also to buy 50 lbs of clay. In season 3 - Lucy Has Her Eyes Examined - he comes back in another role as the optometrist Ricky goes to see for his headaches. Ricky is fine, but Lucy doesn’t do too well when reading the chart, so he dilates her eyes to check them out. Little did he know she had a dance routine to do later that day. He makes his final appearance as Pierre Charpontier in season 5 - Paris at Last. The gang all look for a painting to take back home and end up buying the exact same one from Charpontier, which are actually just paintings he is pretending to paint to make money.
