2/9. Helen's Acres represents so much more then just volunteering. This organization is a true testament to the power of community and a common goal. My first experience volunteering @helensacreskelowna was during the summer of 2021 in the height of the pandemic. It was a tough season to be farming in the hot sun and smoke-filled air. However, I simply could not stop smiling (under my mask) I was so excited to be doing something so tangible to help our local community. I highly recommend to everyone that reads this post to sign up to come volunteer. I promise you will arrive and feel incredibly alive and rejuvenated in the fresh air as you get some dirt under your fingernails picking produce that is donated directly to those in need.
