A few months ago, one of my @latimes colleagues Slack-messaged me: “CanO offer a digestion for a potential cannabis story? What to expect the first time you go to a weed store/dispensary.” He explained that, even though he lived within walking distance of one, he preferred to have a friend pick up things for him because he was too intimidated to go himself. That idea became this story. How’s that for service journalism?
