It was incredible to march in @prideinlondon in Terry Higgins’ memory and to mark four decades of supporting people affected by HIV.
Our CEO Ian Green gave a powerful speech on the main stage and shared his experience of living with HIV and shouted about the incredible progress we’ve made since Terry’s death.
Ian also mentioned the importance of being an ally to everyone affected by HIV.
“One thing that hasn’t changed is the stigma associated with HIV. I want everyone at London Pride today anti-stigma allies so that no one living with HIV is faced with discrimination or prejudice.”
The 40th anniversary of Terry’s death is a historic time for us. Today, we’re working towards an incredible goal — ending new cases of HIV by 2030. But we can’t do it alone and need your support now as much as ever.
Tackling stigma and supporting people living with HIV to thrive is crucial to achieving this — and we all have our part to play in that.”
