It’s no easy task to see Iceland during the winter months. Snow, ice, freezing temperatures, really just the positioning of the country not far from the top of our northern hemisphere makes for extreme elements. Not the first choice in most people’s minds, but biking actually allows you to see a lot of it - I’m truly grateful for the sport and how it continues to open my mind to new ways to interact with nature and others. As much fun as it is, cycling in these types of elements is still dangerous - requiring good gear, layers, nutrition, @drinklmnt , etc... Good preparation makes every moment a little bit better.
