last week i did my last episode at @colbertlateshow. i started fresh out of college at the age of 21, and i honestly can’t recall what life was like before working here lol. i remember being so nervous, not even sure if i was capable of working around such greatness. those fears were quickly quieted, not only by the affirmations that i was in fact capable and skilled, but also by those who encouraged me to take risks and try all of the ideas i dreamt up. in a span of nearly six years, i went from being an apprentice with my only tv experience being at internships to a social media producer on an emmy-nominated digital team, on an emmy-winning show with a membership in the television academy, producer credits on bits featuring some of my idols and a peabody in the tuck. i’m so incredibly grateful for my time with the BEST people in the business and the kindest, most gracious, most intelligent man that is stephen colbert. i’m so nervous and excited for my next chapter, but i wouldn’t feel like i could take this leap without having known you all. thank you for changing my life. that’s a wrap on nadirah. see y’all at the emmys. 🤎🫡
