A pea size of a retinoid may seem like too little of product but really, it is enough. Applying more than this can increase irritation and dryness. Over using your retinoid won’t make it work better or faster, just increases your risk of side effects. So how do you apply a pea size amount? {save + share} You always want to start with a clean, dry face. Then begin dotting the face with the retinoid, spreading these dots as evenly as possible as seen in the video. And as you will see, this pea size amount is more than enough for my face & neck. Once the retinoid is evening distributed, begin tapping the product into the skin with the pads of your fingers. And voila, you just applied your retinoid. I prefer this dotting method because you don’t tug or pull at the skin. This method is also true for applying otc retinol products.
