for over a year we were practicing a great deal of grace while internally panicking about her hypotonia preventing her from walking. we all spent a lot of time worrying. multiple doctors and therapies coupled with endless thoughts and tears scared for what her future looked like. then all of the sudden you’re on the other side and its as if it didn’t happen. funny how life works in that way. now look at her - ripping down the same side walks where i spent 10 years living out some of my life’s most important moments. it all brought me here to her. my darling sweet carmela there is nothing she can’t do. with the immense tragedy we are all witnessing really puts in all in perspective. i am endlessly grateful i have a safe child and the privilege to care for her.
