I remember first laying down the bell sound to some mixed chatter and excitement amongst those there before partying. But the moment I added the hihat and snare thus locking in the groove- suddenly everyone in the room stopped talking and started paying attention to what I was doing 100%. I don’t think I ever got complimented on a beat so much my entire life to this day 😂 and that was certainly a first for me. Great memories of humble beginnings to say the least. I was really just getting started then☝🏼 Funny Backstory Part Two: Femi and I met while working together on an internet video series that unfortunately didn’t work out.
