The New @canon.nz RF Lens for Landscapes! For many years I was missing a mid range lens that allowed me to shoot in between those wide angle and fully compressed zoom shots. It wasn’t until just recently that I was able to test out the new Canon RF 28-70mm F2 (YES F2!) with my landscape photography and all I can say is what a beast! Paired with my Canon EOS R5, this combo is the absolute top of the line and a dream set up for any landscape photographer, whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned pro. I wanted to try this lens in particular as I had yet to purchase a mid-range RF mounted lens to go with the R5, and since I was missing that all important combo, this was the perfect chance to have a play. Things that were a total game changer as compared to a kit/EF Mount lens were: - Super sharp imagery - The quality was like shooting with 4 different prime lenses but instead it was all in one – no need to switch out lenses - Shooting with lower ISO in low light - Customisable control ring which can be programmable - Shooting wide and semi compressed in that all important mid-range focal length - Weathertightness and sealed for safety. I was so stoked with this lens! If you’re ready to take your photography a step further and invest in your craft, I would 100% recommend an RF mount to go with your amazing mirrorless camera!
