Today I got to move into my studio for my residency at @wavehill gardens for the Winter Work Space Residency. Ever since I heard of Wave Hill I knew I needed to be there and while it feels surreal I am happy to be amongst such amazing and talented artists. Thankful for @eileenj8 @j_bandler_f & @gabrield3 . After this past weekend’s open studios I feel inspired to carry on and see what I gravitate towards while in the gardens. Recently been thinking about plants and their connections to place and belonging and what it means to belong to yourself and how scents and plants become medicine both in regards to internal healing but also as outward healing specially during these times. I’m also thinking about leisure and the ways it creates a space for reimagining the world. I hope to trace and follow the light and further understand how does one become a flower? Light as material and light as fortaleza. Come say Hi 🪲
